Our client has an immediate need for an IT Data Architect resource. In this position you will partner with other client Data Architects to lead the overall data design of a new enterprise architecture that is being created. You will aid in identifying gaps in data design and assist in the creation of patterns and best practice. This is a long-term contract role located in Bloomington, IL. This is a leadership role and so it is required to work onsite 5 days/week. We are looking for a consultant with proven leadership experience within data architecture. Resources with experience in Large Complex environments are preferred. This position is considered a leadership positions within the department. As such, these leaders are expected to have skills and experiences to be able to meet the expectations below:
 

 Skills needed: 

  • Experience with logical and physical data modeling
  • Relational database design and support experience preferably on open systems
  • Understanding and or experience with NoSQL solutions
  • Experience with the design and support of the technologies and infrastructure at the data layer
  • Experience with the design and support of large DBMS deployments
Other Skills: 
  • Possess technical leadership capabilities with experience across all aspects of an architectures life cycle - design, execution and operations
  • The ability to lead a team in a large organization. Specifically provide a point of escalation for technical issues, identify work for a team, assist in assigning priority to the work and ensuring work is delivered on time and with quality
  • Experience implementing technical solutions in large environments
  • Knowledgeable in Architectural Development practices
